Three more days, three more quotes: Day Two

Today is the second day of the second round of quotes. Many thanks to The Irish Procrastinator for the challenge. If you haven’t yet paid her a visit you are surely missing out, since her poetry is highly entertaining!

The rules are simple:

1. Thank the person who nominates you – thank you!!

2. Post one quote per day for 3 consecutive days

3. Nominate three new bloggers each day

Today’s quote is taken from Jingo, by Terry Pratchett:

“Give a man a fire and he’s warm for a day, but set fire to him and he’s warm for the rest of his life.”

Today’s three nominees are:

In the shadows in Jane Austen

An Historian About Town

Finding French Charming

As always, please do not feel obliged to take part – I will not be in the least offended if you choose not to participate!

  1. Good quote! It makes me remember one a heard a while ago…
“Give a man a fish and you have fed him for a day, teach a man to fish and you would feed him for a life time”.
