Three more days, three more quotes: Day One

Many thanks to the Irish Procrastinator for a second chance to play such an amusing game, and apologies to the rest of my blogging friends for inundating you with a fresh round of quotes. This month I have been shamefully amiss in keeping on top of challenges and a few other nominations (courtesy of the lovely Nash Christmas and Moda Theresa, as well as my Irish friend, whose blogs are all well worth a read). Unfortunately I have been tremendously busy in ‘real life’ lately and have also had the two week school Spring Holiday to prevent my blogging overly much. So my apologies to you all – my neglect was unintentional!

The rules are simple:

1. Thank the person who nominates you

2. Post one quote per day for 3 consecutive days

3. Nominate three new bloggers each day

Today’s quote, with which I agree completely, is taken from An Ideal Husband, by Oscar Wilde (hopefully, I shall see it in the theatre in July…woop!):

LORD GORING: You should go to bed, Miss Mabel.

LORD GORING: My father told me to go to bed an hour ago. I don’t see why I shouldn’t give you the same advice. I always pass on good advice. It is the only thing to do with it. It is never of any use to oneself.

Today’s three nominees are:

VAK (if she is not too busy sorting through holiday photos)

The home place web

Fat Dormouse

There is, of course, never any obligation to take part!

  1. Great quote, of course, OW was a genius. Have just booked tickets for us to see it in Bath, so you’ll have to book the ferry now…..
